So for those of you who have been keeping track, which I'm pretty sure is no one but whatever, Famusfilm are the ones who organized the Trash Film festival in Berlin. What's neat about the website though is you get to see the OTHER films that played in the festival.
"Fireproof Agent" so far is my favorite and right from the outset has higher production value and more action. Still, I'm not all the way through and there seems to be a lot of good, fun stuff.
Although I am incredibly busy and have a whole other short film to finish (it has something to do with a fly or Russians or whatever) as well as a feature to write and several other serious media endeavors (like fake burger commercials or songs about robots), but I am going to try to make a German dub of "Picnic." Stay tuned for more details on that.
Bottom line: I'm really honored to have my film included with this lineup and this is a website that's a lot of fun, even if you don't read or speak German.

"Picnic of the Living Dead" on ZMDB!
ZMDB page
A) There's a Zombie Movie Database? Awesome.
B) "Picnic" is on it? Well, that just puts a smile on my face.

"Picnic of the Living Dead" screening in Berlin!
Hello Party People!
The "Picnic of the Living Dead" gravy train just keeps chugging along. Next stop: Berlin. The 2008 Trash Film Festival. Details can be found here.
I probably won't be able to make it but if you're in Germany and like films that aren't afraid to get down and dirty, check it out.

"Picnic" will be shown at Zombie Fest 2008!
Hello Party People!
"Picnic of the Living Dead" will have it's international debut at Zombie Fest 2008! I got an e-mail a couple of weeks ago from the organizers of the event asking if they could show "Picnic of the Living Dead" along with a couple of other shorts and I agreed (of course).
Zombie Fest features " zombie films, guest stars, games, shooting and archery with zombie targets and of course, The Zombie Experience…" (from their website). The Zombie Experience is a live action role playing scenario in which some people are zombies, zombie hunters, victims, etc.
If you're in the UK, check it out. If you're not, then take the weekend off and book an airline ticket to awesome.

Blogs of the Living Dead
I wanted to take a moment to highlight some blogs that have said some pretty nice things about "Picnic."
First is "Undead Backbrain." This is a pretty neat blog by Robert Hood that seems to split its time evenly between zombies and kaiju. Which is fine by me. Check out what Robert had to say about "Picnic" here.
The second blog is from Germany, Doktorsblog. Now I don't know German, but a friend tells me it's a competition amongst several bloggers as to who can come up with the craziest online video clips and apparently "Picnic" made the grade. Sweet!
Finally, Zombie Pages put a link to "Picnic" on Brightcove. What I think is funny is that the next short film they highlight is "Brunch of the Living Dead." There seems to be a wave of meal-themed zombie films. Well, zombies' gotta eat.
